NSW SES Wollongong City Unit

Community, Wollongong, NSW, Australia

NSW SES Wollongong City Unit is a Volunteer Emergency Response Unit, assisting the community during Flood, Storm and Tsunami

Founded in 1967, the Wollongong City State Emergency Service has over 100 members and is growing still. Areas that we are responsible for range from Waterfall, in the North through to Lake Illawarra, in the South. While we are bounded by sea to the east, our boundary extends to the Illawarra escarpment.

While the primary responsibilities of the Wollongong City SES are to assist the community during Floods and Storms, we are also involved with Verticle Rescue Operations as well as assisting other Emergency Services during times of need.
